Erin Jane Callinan trading as Bosco & Co (ABN 86 264 481 514) respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email, phone, delivery address and what you bought. Payment is handled by Square; we never see or store your card details.
- If you join our list: your email address, and a record of when and where you asked (the sign-up box, the checkout or your account) and when you confirmed. A sign-up from the website is confirmed from the one email we send; until you tap Confirm you’re not on the list, and a sign-up that isn’t confirmed within 30 days is deleted. Once confirmed, you’re in our Square customer directory, in the group we send marketing to. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing is recorded in both places.
- If you make an account: your email address, the orders you place while signed in, the favourites and pet profile you sync from your browser, and your email preference. Signing in is by a link we email you; we hold no password. You can delete all of this yourself on the account page.
- On this website: your cart, favourites and recently viewed items are kept in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers. We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use the shop: it sets cookies and records the pages you view, the products you look at and add to your cart, and orders placed (order number, items and total — never your name, email, address or card). Google processes this for us; you can opt out with Google’s browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies.
How we use it
To fulfil and deliver your order, answer your questions, handle returns, show you your own orders and favourites when you sign in, and — only if you ask us to — send you news about sales and new stock. We don’t sell your information, and we send marketing only to people who agreed to it (Spam Act 2003).
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the shop, and only what each needs to do its part: Square (payments, orders and our customer list), Australia Post (delivery), Resend (sending our emails: sign-in links, confirmations and, if you joined, our news), Cloudflare (website hosting and security), and Google (website statistics). Each is bound by its own privacy obligations.
Some of these services store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We choose services that protect it to a standard at least as high as the Australian Privacy Principles require.
Your choices
Unsubscribe with the link in any marketing email, or on your account page, where you can also delete your account data yourself. You can ask to see, correct or delete anything else, at any time, by emailing info@boscoandco.com.au. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, tell us first; you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
